A REBEL AT HEART

The standard 1.4L MultiAir® Turbo engine on the FIAT® 500 Abarth provides an impressive 160 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque (157 horsepower and 183 pound-feet of torque with the available automatic transmission). The two intercoolers on the FIAT® 500 Abarth create cooler, densely charged air for maximum performance out of the forced induction engine. The dual bright exhaust tips enhance the style and power of the FIAT® 500 Abarth by maximizing the amount of air that can be released from the engine.

SPORT-TUNED SUSPENSION 

With its lower control arms, sport-tuned spring rates, shock tuning and steering calibration, the FIAT® 500 Pop and Lounge are equipped to handle the demands of the road. 

PERFORMANCE SUSPENSION 

The FIAT® 500 Abarth includes a performance suspension. It features dual-valve frequency selective damping KONI front struts and rear shock absorbers that are precision tuned to help deliver maximum grip.  

PERFORMANCE BRAKES 

The brake system on the FIAT® 500 Abarth includes large diameter ventilated front rotors, solid rear rotors, Rosso (red) painted single-position front and rear calipers and semimetallic brake linings. The Pop and Lounge models also feature ventilated front rotors, solid rear rotors and single-piston calipers in their four-wheel disc antilock brake system.

TRANSMISSIONS 

It’s all about control. Shift with precision, accelerate with authority and brake quickly with the responsive five-speed manual transmission—standard on all models. The six-speed automatic transmission—available on all models—lets you experience excellent performance. It provides responsive full-throttle launches, quick wide-open-throttle upshifts and smooth two-step kick-down shifts.  

SPORT MODE 

Sport Mode—available on all models—unleashes the full power of the turbo engines, providing specific engine calibrations to help maximize horsepower and torque. It increases steering feedback to the driver and pedal-to-engine throttle response for more spirited handling. In addition, changes to the transmission shift schedules provide more sporty shifting (on automatic transmission-equipped models). Sport Mode is especially useful when driving on winding roads where more precise handling is desired.
